Round 6 Results | Points after Round 6 | Winners Gallery

It might not have been the biggest meeting at Ironbark Raceway but round Six of the Taylor's Parts Centre Track Championship was certainly a successful one. Only one entry in the Quick ET Class but Bikes, 4x4, Street and Fast Street classes had reasonable entries. We had two Young Gun entries and it was great to see the youngsters having a crack especially first timer Isabella Hunter with Granddad covering as the pit crew. In the burnout competition entries were up on last months meeting with nine cars taking to the pad. It was great to see crowd favorite Peter Wilson back at the track after engine problems at the July meeting and Mark Dyer in his 468ci powered Gasser.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who keep the action flowing especially to Michelle Taylor and Quinn Shelswell for their efforts in the tower, they really were outstanding. Also the club would like to thank the Seawright Family from Gregory Fabrications for sponsoring the trophies for the meeting. A lovely afternoon with a good crowd and many families in attendance.

Judges in the Burnout competition had a tough afternoon with great performances from all cars. There was the usual carnage with smashed transmissions and blown radiators but the majority of cars managed to get through the four rounds. Local David Wright ran out the winner with another local Travis Weaver Runner UP.

Best Reaction time went to one of the many ladies competing, Eryn Crimmins with a time of 0.004 seconds.

In the Bikes class Harley Macdonald and Bundaberg competitor Paul Welsh would battle it out. Harley proved to be too good and took the honors.

In the 4x4 Class Jett Williamson would find himself in the finals up against Emily Godfrey. Jett would make it two wins from as many meetings taking the honors.

In the Young Guns first timer Isabella Hunter would have a tough time up against seasoned racer Brodie Ferguson. Unfortunately Isabella had a breakout giving Brodie an easy win.

There was only one competitor in the Quick ET class, so Mark Dyer had an easy win.

In the Fast Street class it was a fierce battle all afternoon. Mick Tattam and Daniel Kenyon would find themselves on the start line. Mick was too good making it two from two, also winning at the last meeting.

Finally in the Street class we saw veteran John Owens up against youngster Byron Hafemeister. It would be a narrow win for Byron taking the honors and also winning at the last meeting.
